Stanbridge is a wonderful 420 place primary school, located in Downend, South Gloucestershire. The school boasts two school halls and a wonderful large playing field. We have two classes per year group from Reception through to Year 6.
Having been Deputy Head Teacher, I was appointed as Acting Head Teacher in term 6 of last year upon Miss Bertham’s departure. I will continue to lead the school until 31st December 2018 when Miss Littlewood will become the Substantive Head Teacher.
Mrs. M Walker is our current Acting Deputy Head Teacher.
Our ethos is inclusive and ensures the children are at the centre of all we do.
We have two golden rules:
Everyone has the right to feel happy and safe in school
Everyone has the right to work without distractions

A BRIEF MESSAGE FROM OUR ACTING HEAD TEACHER
MR A. McGOVERN
Each class creates a ‘class charter’ from these two rules and this is central to our positive behaviour policy. Our motto Aim high and fly is used each and every day and is lived and breathed by the children and staff. We even have a school song written by Mr Woods.

If you visit our school you will be warmly welcomed and you will have the opportunity to see children at work and play. We pride ourselves on a curriculum that is rich, relevant and engaging and we encourage children to ask questions, investigate and explore.
