Term 1 Update from FoS  (October ‘17)
There are some exciting plans underway this year for the PTA. We received some excellent feedback from our survey with 86% of respondents telling us that the events are good or excellent. Here are some comments that reflect the hard work that the PTA put into creating the events…

We hosted over 10 events this year with highlights being the Colour Run, It’s a Knockout and the annual discos and film nights. We also hosted free Splash Parties on the field after school and this was a really fun school community event. The PTA have raised over £7,000 this year. We are now focusing on raising  funds for all weather surfacing around our play equipment on the field.

We are proud to have been published in the PTA+ magazine. Our Colour Run event was recognised as an exciting way to raise money and other schools have been in touch to find out more for their school.

Upcoming Events

Our disco is taking place on Thursday 19th October, 5.00pm-6.30pm. Tickets are on sale now! Our Christmas Fair will be on Saturday 18th November, 11.00am—2.00pm and promises to be a fun filled day with Santa’s Grotto, raffle, stalls, games and more!  The PTA are also helping to organise our Children in Need cake sale that will be taking place on Friday 17th November at 2.30pm.

FoS AGM Minutes -  5th October ‘17

Term 2 Update from FoS (November ‘17)
Well, the Fair was a Christmas Cracker of a start to our Festive Fundraising this year! This year we decided to concentrate on providing lots of affordable fun activities for the children to take part in and we think you’ll agree that that it proved to be a huge success.

Our games room in the hall was packed with games, tombolas, a bouncy castle and a soft play to name but a few – and was fit to burst with excited children from start to finish.

We’ve now got Elfridges on the way as well as a couple of other surprises up our sleeves before the term ends, so watch this space! Elfridges is a special Christmas shopping event for children. A letter has been sent out explaining that children can order a gift at a cost of £3. During the week commencing 4th December, the PTA elves will be accompanying children from each class to the pop up store to allow children to choose their gifts! Make sure you return your child’s order form and payment by 30th November.

We’ll be announcing the total amount raised soon for Elfridges and the Christmas Fayre.

The eagle eyed among you will have noticed that some of the games stalls were manned by our very own Stanbridge pupils. We’re really proud to have these lovely young people working with us at events and will be looking for more opportunities for them to volunteer throughout the year. It was lovely to see the level of maturity that they approached the tasks with and we hope that they enjoyed helping out. Thank you very much to those pupils who helped!

FoS Film Night - The Emoji Movie -  18th January ‘18

Term 3 Update from FoS (February ‘18)
Happy New Year! It doesn’t feel that long ago we were busily organising our Festive Fundraising activities and now here we are nearly at the end of January!

We’d like to say a big thank you to all the people who supported our calendar of Festive activities – our Christmas Fayre had a lovely family atmosphere with the children really having fun on all the games stalls. Our ‘Elfridges’ store was as popular as we knew it would be and we were overwhelmed with the response to our first Breakfast with Santa, selling out in less than a week!

We are now also trying to reduce our impact on the environment and will only be emailing out details of our events, with reply forms available to pick up from the office for those without printing at home. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events.

We have lots more in store for you over the coming months. Our Emoji film night, on Wednesday 7th February, 3.30pm - 5.15pm promises to be lots of fun for all the children who attend.

We also have our Little People’s Market on the morning of Sunday 25th February, where you will have the opportunity to buy and sell good quality nearly new goods (look out for letters coming home soon via email).

We also have a Mother’s Day Breakfast on Friday 9th March, Cake Sale on Friday 9th February, 2.30pm - 4.00pm and the Easter Raffle to look forward to after half term.

If you would like to join in and help out, drop us an email at to find out more.
